There is a feel to online poker that must be developed in order to read tells. This is a different type of poker instinct that takes time to develop when new to the online game.

Another big dynamic of online poker is the faster pace. Many new players to online poker, even those with plenty of face-to-face experience, have hard time adjusting at the start because of that quicker pace. This means that better preparation, understanding, and study are needed to be successful when playing poker online.
