Many of today’s online poker players will literally try and intimidate other players with their bold and aggressive play which is another way of trying to bluff out wins and pots. More experienced players can see through the aggressive play however and are able to hold their own and eventually wind down the more reckless players.

A great way to set yourself apart in today’s online poker is to play with prudence and as a student of the game. While more aggressive playing styles may win an occasional early pot in the long run it cannot overcome the hard mathematical odds and physics of the game.

The best online poker players are in the game with a long term set of thought and are playing with many hands down the road in mind. Just as in business the quick buck artists do not last long and eventually are called out for what they are.
